You know, because “sat” is the past tense of “sit”…
It makes sense. We swear.
Anyway, today we got a recap of the week’s news, podcasts, and an aggressively personalized look at some upcoming movies and television content.
So, have a seat…or, don’t.

🚢 Strike Over, But More to Come?
On Monday, we dove into the resolution of the longshoremen’s strike and the major impact it could have on supply chains if talks stall again. Plus, Rivian cut its 2024 production forecast, Toyota delayed its EV plans, and Tesla? Well, they’re still on top…for now.
🏹 Trouble and Trouble
On Tuesday, Fisker ran into more hot water with the SEC, GM doubled down on their robo-car ambitions, and Stellantis locked horns with the UAW in court. Oh, and there’s a new Jeep. Yep, just another day in the auto world—dodging hurricanes and gearing up for early holiday shopping!
🔧 Work That Works
On Wednesday, GM wrestled with EV slowdowns while Nissan charged ahead (and also pulled back 24,000 Leafs—oops). Rivian? They’re pushing their shiny new models back to 2028. Plus, we dove into all the behind-the-scenes roles that keep dealerships running smoothly, even when ads get sneaky and Big Macs get pricier!
🍏 An Apple A Day
On Thursday, GM’s making big changes to its EV batteries, Tesla’s execs are bailing, and Honda’s recalling 1.7 million vehicles. But the real win? Apple Autos is nearly doubling its commitment to feed families in need. Oh, and did you catch that new “Moana 2” trailer? Looks like it’s gonna be good!
🚕 Tesla's Robotaxi Day
On Friday, Tesla unveiled its ambitious (and futuristic) Cybercab at the “We, Robot” event, GM celebrated EV milestones in China, and Stellantis? Well, they're still stuck in the slow lane. Plus, Scott Bieler at West Herr is doing amazing community work, and we’ve got all the market trends to kick off your weekend right!

Fight Club 2
Oh neat, a new Fight Club, just in time to train a new generation of teenage boys to mistake a paradoxically apathetic yet furious distrust of everything for a personality.
Why does Brad Pitt look so much like some sort of “sexy Santa” in the thumbnail? I don’t know. Maybe it’s another identity Tyler Durden is trying out?
(Just kidding, this is a fake trailer for a non-real movie 😂)
The Last of Us Season 2
Hey, so, let’s be honest, I mostly make these little movie trailer sections as an excuse to make fun of them. The Last of Us, however, is 11/10, three thumbs up, time-to-renew-HBO-Max content that I cannot wait to spend time with.
Friends, the video game series made me a better person. If video games aren’t your thing, maybe the show will be. Get ready for monsters, out there, but also in here.
From the World of John Wick: Ballerina
What is it about combining Russia, ballet, and assassins that just makes sense? I don’t have an answer, but this slow-mo-song trailer is the flick that John Wick fans have been waiting for: John Wick 5: This Time It’s A Woman, not to be confused with John Wick 3.5: This time It’s Saul Goodman.
What a weird world we live in.
