SOMETHING FUN

🇿🇼 AI Without Borders

Sophia, the world’s most famous humanoid robot, recently made her first visit to Zimbabwe as a guest at a week-long AI and innovation fair at the University of Zimbabwe.

As the world’s first robot to receive citizenship and a United Nations Innovation Champion, she is both a global ambassador and a remarkable symbol of AI progress.

In addition to the learning opportunities for Sophia, the United Nations United Nations Development Program (which organized her visit) hopes her interactions will inspire Zimbabwean youth to explore careers in AI and STEM.

Visitors say her presence instilled wonder, sparked debates, and left a lasting impression on future leaders; so we’d say, mission accomplished.
