The End of a Very Good Week

Tenor

The Daily Pushback Email

  • On Monday, we kicked off the week with news on Tesla’s FSD investigation, Nissan’s new hybrid Rogue, and Pony’s big push for autonomous driving. We also highlighted Mike McSherry’s inspiring story of running for the March of Dimes. 🏃‍♂️

  • Then, Tuesday we covered GM’s push for EV profitability, Ford slashing Mach-E prices to attract new buyers, and Stellantis closing facilities while doubling down on e-trucks. Plus, transparency is winning, with buyers favoring dealerships over private sales by a wide margin. 🫥

  • Wednesday we channeled our inner Vikings and dove into Tesla’s AI lawsuit, Stellantis grappling with gas car production cuts, and Arkansas’s massive lithium reserve ready to fuel the EV surge. 🔋

  • On Thursday, we dug into EV updates with Ford offering huge discounts on the F-150 Lightning, GM shaking up the market with the $35K Equinox EV, and the Biden administration pushing $1.7B in EV grants. We also discussed how successfully motivate your team with autonomy, mastery, and purpose. 🔥

    We also asked for your help to settle a debate, but everyone was split square down the middle. Guess we’ll just call it the best holiday movie ever and call it a day. 🏆

  • Friday we wrapped up the week talking about emergency braking saving lives (and bumpers), to Ford CEO Jim Farley’s admiration for a Chinese EV, and Hyundai's dip in profits. In market news, the stock market is cruising toward a rare back-to-back 20% gain, while the U.S. auto market stays strong with falling retail prices and rising incentives. 📈

SOMETHING FUN

⌛️ The New Skinny Legend

@saberdrives / Instagram

It seems Ozempic has officially infiltrated the auto market after a snatched-up Jeep Wrangler was recently spotted in Morocco.

Safety be damned! This ultra-narrow Wrangler has kept the iconic V6 engine, but with its midsection missing and the driver perched in the center, it’s giving more tightrope than muddin’.

Interestingly enough, the same owner also has the world’s widest Jeep Wrangler in their collection, so at least their accepting of all body types.
