🔋 Global EV Sales Surge: China's Leading the Charge

Global EV sales jumped 30.5% in September, with China taking the lead and Europe making a comeback. The U.S. lags behind with only a 4.3% increase as November’s election looms. Dealers, brace yourselves for a shifting market as the EV wave keeps building.

📉 BMW's Warning: Europe’s EV Ban Will Backfire

BMW’s CEO calls out Europe’s 2035 fossil fuel ban, warning it increases reliance on China’s battery supply chain. With global supply issues and pressure to go electric, Zipse suggests the ban might hurt European automakers. U.S. dealers, take note—battery sourcing could change your future inventory challenges.

📈 Tariffs Won’t Stop BYD's EV March

Despite looming tariffs, China’s BYD plans to flood Europe with affordable EVs, starting at just $27,000. BYD’s aggressive pricing could shake up not just Europe, but eventually the U.S. market too. Should we prepare for an EV onslaught? Even if it starts overseas.

🛟 Hurricane Milton Relief From FADA

In the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, the Florida Automobile Dealers Charitable Foundation (FADCF) has stepped up once again to provide critical support to dealership employees across the state. Established in 2004 after Hurricane Charley, the foundation was created with a singular purpose: to assist dealership employees during and after natural disasters.

What makes the FADCF truly special is that every single dollar goes directly to those in need—no administrative fees, no overhead. Dealer Principals and Management can submit applications for up to $500 per employee to cover emergency needs like food, clothing, and shelter. It’s a swift, no-nonsense way to ensure that employees facing hardship receive immediate help.

FADCF’s support embodies the heart of the dealership community, offering a lifeline to employees when it matters most. As they recently shared, “Our hearts go out to all of our dealers throughout Florida,” echoing their unwavering commitment to helping the industry rebuild, one dealership at a time.
