📧 The Daily Pushback Email

  • On Monday, we covered Ford’s BlueCruise upgrade making hands-free driving even cooler, Toyota’s production hiccups, and why thieves don’t bother with EVs (spoiler: it’s good news for dealers). Plus, Stellantis' CEO wants to shake up the EV world, and Steele Auto lit the way with a smashing fundraiser!

  • On Tuesday, we tackled dealer sentiment (it’s low, folks), Tesla’s Cybertruck update leaving owners gripping the wheel, and Ford’s promise to sweeten the EV deal with home chargers. Plus, spooky season kicks off with a lineup of terrifying movies we’re already too scared to watch!

  • On Wednesday, we saw sluggish Q3 auto sales, Volvo pushing for an EU gas car ban, and Ford lowering prices on BlueCruise to stay competitive. Hurricane Helene left devastation in its wake, with dealerships hit hard. Plus, we peeked into spooky history and the rising power of Chinese EVs.

  • On Thursday, we explored Tesla’s decision to drop its most affordable EV, GM’s big plans for SUVs, and Subaru’s continued SUV success despite struggles elsewhere. Plus, NADA stepped up to support dealership families affected by Hurricane Helene. Oh, and live-action Rugrats? Yep, that’s happening, too.

  • On Friday, we covered Ford’s surging F-150 Lightning sales, Stellantis’ struggles, and Tesla’s continued EV dominance. Plus, stocks are on a winning streak, and FEMA’s funds may run short. Oh, and don’t miss our webinar today or the upcoming More Than Cars episode featuring Mohawk Chevrolet!

SOMETHING FUN

🦫 🐳 🐻 Odd Animals

Hey, look, sometimes we talk about the news. And, sometimes we give you news to talk about. Ever have an awkward silence in an Uber or elevator? Not anymore. Here are some weird animal stories from the news. Enjoy!

Nibi, a 2-year-old “diva” beaver, just got a permanent home! After a court battle and a petition with 25,000 signatures, the Massachusetts governor issued a permit allowing Nibi to stay at Newhouse Wildlife Rescue as an educational ambassador. Nibi’s preference for humans over the wild makes this a win for her fans—and her safety!

Hvaldimir, the beloved “Russian spy whale,” was found dead in mysterious circumstances near Stavanger, Norway. Famous for his playful antics and rumored espionage past, the friendly beluga captured hearts worldwide. Conservation groups suspect foul play, but a necropsy will determine the cause. Hvaldimir’s legacy lives on, inspiring ocean conservation efforts.

Fat Bear Week was delayed by a day after a shocking fight caught on camera resulted in the death of a contestant, Bear 402, at Katmai National Park. The contest pits the fattest bears against each other in an online vote. Meanwhile, four-time champion Otis is mysteriously missing, adding even more drama!
