What Ya Watchin’?

Humans, and worse yet, actors — what a mess.

As we are sure our friends at Mohawk Chevrolet can tell you, working with real human actors is a hassle.

We are guessing that is why so many classics are coming back around with animated installments. Check ‘em out.

Watchmen: Chapter One

In many ways, the Watchmen graphic novel introduced the world to comic books that people could treat like serious art.

We’re not sure what value taking art too seriously really has, but this animated retelling of the original graphic novel will almost positively let some folks down, excite others, call in the question the quality of the 2009 movie, the HBO series, and lead to a new spike of sales for the original Alan Moore tome. Hooray reboots. 🤷

The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim

This one takes us 200 years prior to the War of the Ring in an anime style.

The trailer feels like one of those weird cartoons that use to come on MTV late at night, but instead of a psychedelic trip through the counter culture, it’s more Princess Mononoke with Peter Jackson’s interpretation of Tolkien in the background. It is sure to be on of the shows of all time.

TERMINATOR ZERO

Terminator without Arnold is always a risk, but making it full on cartoon is pushing all the chips forward without even looking at your cards.

While it may be good to be thinking about, “What do we do when the robots rise up?” plans, we never expected it would be to a remix of the Smashing Pumpkins.

But honestly, do you even have a movie trailer if you don’t slow down at least one hit song?
