🛠️ Mini Cars, Maximum Inspiration
Marysville Toyota in Marysville, Washington host a Toyota Mini Makers Garage event to ignite curiosity and inspire futures.
Excitement and creativity filled the air at Marysville Toyota on Monday evening as kids donned oversized red coveralls and hard hats for the Toyota Mini Makers Garage event.
Hosted in partnership with the Toyota Lexus Minority Owners Dealership Association and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County (in Marysville, Washington), the event gave 8 to 13-year-olds a hands-on introduction to auto engineering.
Guided by Alan Williams, Toyota’s General Manager of Quality Systems and Planning, the kids assembled their own mini cars, learning about all the building blocks along the way like tires, taillights, grills, and more.
The event concluded with the kids exploring a real GR86, the life-sized version of the car they built, and learning about the technology under the hood.
Marysville Toyota owner Jim Colon hopes experiences like this ignite a passion for engineering in the next generation saying, “Having an interest develop starts at an early age. This could be the moment that sparks curiosity and sets them on a new path.”
