GM’s stock is soaring, luxury EVs are multiplying (and ditching CarPlay?), and auto loans are finally easier to get—welcome news for buyers. Meanwhile, Suzuki’s budget sedan impresses with a five-star safety rating, while Toyota’s scoffing at California’s EV mandates. Nissan’s activist investors are stirring things up, and BYD is racing to pass Ford in sales. Over at Lucid, the CEO isn’t pulling punches, saying most American EVs are underwhelming. Meanwhile, a “Lamborghini” Miata at SEMA turned out to be a Chevy in disguise, and Europe and China are facing off over EV tariffs, proving there’s no shortage of drama in the industry.

In short, whether it’s GM leading the pack or BYD challenging U.S. automakers, the road ahead promises twists, turns, and—naturally—a bit of chaos.

In a heartfelt tribute to local veterans, Sioux City Ford Lincoln closed its doors on Monday for Veterans Day—not to take a break, but to roll up their sleeves and serve those who have served.

The dealership’s team, joined by ABRA Auto Body employees, took on sixteen projects to benefit local servicemembers—from yard work to moving furniture to laying concrete. For Army veteran Edward Redenius, who is wheelchair-bound, the team installed a brand-new driveway to give him easier access to his yard, mailbox, and vehicle.

The effort also included delivering care packages, blankets, and even 125 pans of lasagna and chili to veterans.

Sioux City Ford’s General Sales Manager, Wendy Modlin, shared her excitement: “This is really the coolest thing we have ever done. We feel blessed to be here, helping veterans who have done so much for us.”

Bravo to the dedicated Sioux City Ford Linco team for honoring our heroes, and making a difference—one driveway, yard, and meal at a time. 👏
