🚙 Big Biz Moves, Managing Aged Inventory, and Interest Rate Cuts
It’s a brand new Thursday, and today is an incredibly exciting day! I am thrilled to write my first lead for our email, and it’s kind of a big deal. 😉 We are looking for a Partner Development Manger to work alongside me to continue to care for and build the “More Than Cars” movement to the next level.
Our team is small but mighty. We are looking for someone who loves the automotive industry the way that we do and has the stamina to join a company that moves on its feet. Our energy is on fire and we are looking for a new team member to join our team and help drive sales and care for our partners.
If you’re up for the exploring the gig, let us know by applying below!

🧑🔬 Charging, Struggles, and Price Shock
giphy
The EV world is buzzing! First up, Ford, BMW, and Honda’s ChargeScape is now live, wirelessly managing EV charging and even sending power back to the grid.
Next, Stellantis finds itself in “survival mode,” pushing to make EVs cost-competitive with gas cars amid slowing demand and tighter regulations.
Lastly, BYD remains a force to be reckoned with, offering the cheapest EV in the U.S., even with a 100% tariff. Their $10,000 Seagull EV could land under $25,000 stateside, making U.S. automakers sweat.
With automakers navigating EV charging strategies, labor negotiations heating up, and global competitors setting new price benchmarks, it’s clear the industry’s in for a wild ride.

📉 Is Aging Inventory Tanking Your Bottom Line?
giphy
With new car inventory up 7% and used vehicle carryover holding steady, it might seem like smooth sailing for dealerships—but aging inventory is now becoming a growing problem.
New vehicle aged inventory is rising by 2% each month, while used vehicles have seen a 5% increase.
Dealers are facing mounting pressure to move older models, but markdowns alone aren't cutting it. In fact, only 25% of dealers report any improvement from price cuts.
So, what's next? Discover more and learn five strategies for managing aging inventory effectively in the full article here.
✂️ Fed Chops Rates for the First Time in 4 Years
giphy
The Fed made a bold move, cutting interest rates by 0.5% for the first time since 2020. The decision signals growing concerns over a softening job market, despite Powell's assurances that the economy is “in good shape.”
Stocks initially surged, then steadied as investors processed the news. While Powell warns against expecting frequent cuts of this magnitude, the Fed's projections suggest more cuts could come this year.
The bottom line: this half-point rate cut hints at precautionary measures against future economic troubles. Could it prevent a recession, or is there more to worry about?
