Holiday Spending Expected to Break Records

Get ready. About 130M people are expected to hit stores (and screens) this Black Friday, part of a record 186.9M shoppers expected between Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday.

That’s 3M+ more than last year, according to the National Retail Federation.

Holiday sales are expected to cross the one trillion dollar mark for the first time.

But don’t mistake volume for carelessness. Shoppers are skipping the extras and chasing value. They’ll pay, but only if the product feels worth it.

Black Friday is still the main event, but Cyber Week will also be strong, especially for mobile orders. Salesforce says phones will drive 70% of online sales and 80% of traffic. One in four purchases will happen via mobile wallet.

AI is doing its thing too. Digital agents are influencing 22% of global sales, about 73B dollars worth.

Bottom line? People are buying, just not blindly. If the value is real, the sale is likely to follow.
