There’s a special kind of energy at a charity golf tournament. Before the first tee time, the morning fog is still lifting off the course, the coffee is flowing, and vendors, dealers, and neighbors who usually only see each other across a negotiating table are swapping stories. Then everyone heads out to play for the same team: their community.

The 5th Annual Beaver Toyota & Mazda Charity Golf Tournament by the Numbers

On Monday, we broadcast live from Hawks Ridge Golf Club in Ball Ground, Georgia, for the fifth annual Beaver Toyota & Mazda Charity Golf Tournament. Last year, a sold-out field of 120 golfers helped raise nearly $160,000. This year’s goal is $200,000, all for four organizations serving the special-needs and at-risk citizens of Forsyth County.

Where the money goes:

  • 🌱 The Seed Ministries: Opportunity, hope, and resources for local children

  • 🛡️ Child Advocacy Center of Forsyth County: Protecting children who have faced abuse or neglect

  • 🏠 Forsyth County Community Connections, The Drop: Care for young adults facing homelessness

  • 🚗 AMP’s DriveStrong: Equipping teen drivers with the skills to handle dangerous road conditions

The tournament is backed by a long list of partners, including national names like Ally, Capital One Auto, Autotrader, Reynolds and Reynolds, DriveCentric, and Enterprise, alongside local businesses and media. Golfers play a four-person scramble, and the day wraps with dinner, awards, and silent and live auctions.

How Dealer Charity Events Strengthen Local Communities

We’ve been part of this tournament every year since it started, and it’s become one of our favorite days on the calendar. Over those five years, we’ve watched the Beaver team care for its employees, show up for its neighbors, and treat the community as part of the business.

What makes this event especially powerful is who it brings together. Dealers work with dozens of vendor partners every day. Beaver invites those partners to serve alongside them, which means national companies end up investing directly in one Georgia county. Any dealer could borrow that model.

It’s also no accident that so much of the money goes to young people. The DriveStrong partnership connects what this industry does every day, putting people behind the wheel, with a real need: helping teen drivers stay safe on the road.
