🚗 Scouting It Out

🚙 Tesla's Rebound, Consumer Tests, and Mo' Waymo

In partnership with

Scout Motors is bringing back two models as EVs, and they’re planning to do so without dealerships. We wrote some about the announcements here.

It’s funny the brand is called “Scout,” because they will indeed be scouting out the territory of replacing an existing nationwide network of local dealerships with digital window shopping.

Let’s wish them luck and…

Keep Pushing Back

🚀 Tesla’s Stock Surge and Growth Projections

Tesla's 22% stock jump might catch dealer attention, but Musk's forecast of 20-30% vehicle growth in 2025 is what really matters. It’s a reminder that EVs and autonomy are key to future sales, even as regulatory credits temporarily boost profits. Dealers should keep an eye on Tesla's evolving role.

🪓 Half of Americans Ready for EV Test Drives

The Consumer Reports survey shows that 50% of Americans are ready to test drive EVs, which is a great opportunity for dealerships. Though concerns remain about battery life and charging infrastructure, a hands-on experience can convert interest into sales. Dealers need to step up their EV game and customer education.

🚕 Waymo’s $5.6 Billion Expansion

Waymo’s massive funding round highlights the growing influence of autonomous vehicles. With its robotaxi service expanding, this could impact urban transportation models and eventually dealership sales models. Dealers should prepare for a future where AVs reshape the landscape of both consumer vehicles and fleet sales.
