SOMETHING FUN

Totally Winging It

If you’ve ever dreamed of flying without all the pesky road-blocks like licenses and flight school, the Mirocopter SCH-2A is your ticket to the sky.

Resembling an over-sized Erector Set and weighing in at just 249 pounds, this ultralight chopper is the ultimate DIY flying machine. And the best part? The Mirocopter offers the thrill/terror of flight for less than the price of a new car β€” $37,500, to be exact.

Defying gravity (and common sense, frankly), the Mirocopter SCH-2A first took flight in the U.S. two years ago and recently took center stage at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2024.

Although not required, we recommend you watch/re-watch β€œTop Gun” (either one) for some pre-flight training, just to be safe.
