  • On Monday, we celebrated McGovern Auto Group’s empowering car maintenance day for Girls Inc. and recapped our visit to Beaver Toyota’s golf tournament. On the biz side, Nissan faced a 99% profit drop in Q2 but is doubling down on hybrids, GM reported strong revenue growth and is expanding its EV lineup, and Ram Trucks starred in the new Twisters remake amidst production challenges. 🌪️
     

  • Tuesday, CDK Global faced more backlash after offering only a one-month rebate as compensation from their recent cyberattack. Additionally, a federal judge in Chicago is allowing a class-action lawsuit against CDK by 244 software vendors, alleging antitrust violations and overcharging. Then, we praised Yark Automotive Group for their donations to Isaiah 117 House in support of foster children in Lucas County. 👶
     

  • By Wednesday, we took a journey back to 2014, tracing the evolution of ride-sharing, recalls, and automakers like Group 1 and Fisker. Then, we focused on Gary Rome Hyundai’s Car Seat Safety Check, an annual event ensuring families have safe installations with the help of the Massachusetts State Police and other community partners. ⛑️
     

  • On Thursday, Stellantis announced a voluntary buyout for U.S. workers amid economic pressures and reaffirmed its commitment to Maserati despite recent losses. VinFast is expanding globally but has delayed its U.S. facility opening, while BYD partners with Uber to launch 100,000 EVs worldwide. ⚡️
     

  • Before we knew it, it was Friday again. Honda, Nissan, and Mitsubishi solidified a strategic alliance to enhance EVs, standardize components, and share resources to compete globally. Carvana exceeded Wall Street's Q2 expectations, projecting a strong year, while Toyota's profit rose despite shares falling. Meanwhile, the economy's 2.8% GDP growth sparked predictions of a potential Fed interest rate reduction in September. ✂️
