🏆 GM and Ford Balance Tradition and Change
GM and Ford ended 2024 with their best U.S. sales since 2019. Both saw growth in core models like trucks and SUVs while cautiously expanding electrified offerings. GM sold 2.7M vehicles (+4%), and Ford hit 2.08M (+4%), with EVs still a small but growing slice of sales. For dealers, the message is clear: adapt to meet evolving demand without losing focus on what works.
🔋 EV Tax Credits: A Race Against Time
Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis EVs now qualify for federal tax credits, but political winds may shift. Hyundai’s $7.6B Georgia plant secured eligibility, but the incoming administration’s plans could end the program. Dealers should act fast to leverage consumer interest while the credits last. 🤘 Rockingham Cars Rallies for Corby Foodbank
We’re kicking off 2025 with an inspiring story from across the pond! Rockingham Cars, a family-owned dealership in Corby, UK, turned their showroom into a hub for generosity, collecting car-boots-full of food for the Corby Foodbank. The effort, led by Director Matthew Hall and Sales Manager Alec Pun, was inspired by the dealership’s connection with the Foodbank team at the Spirit of Corby awards.
Their efforts highlight the incredible good dealers can do, and here at ASOTU, we’re eager to see more stories like this unfold throughout the year. Let’s keep driving change together!
