šŸš— The Stellantis SuperBoss

šŸš™ Repeat Rev, Invigorating with AI, and St. John's Dance

TOGETHER WITH

Good morning and welcome to Tuesday, Friend!

We’ve got news from the auto C-Suite to the weird and wild streets of GPT town.

Because you aren’t just selling cars today, you’re connecting people to their world. A world full of moving parts, shifting winds, and a few solid places to stand.

We're proud to be working with you and hope you’re proud of your place in this big story, too.

Keep Pushing Back,
-Paul, Kyle, Chris & Kristi

Stellantis Shuffle, Toyota Hikes, and Talking Like GPT

Let’s start with Stellantis.

New CEO Antonio Filosa finally made it official and… chose continuity over chaos. He’s keeping his North America gig and the CEO title, trimming execs from 33 to 16, and keeping all 14 brand chiefs (yes, including Fiat) exactly where they are. Jefferies analysts couldn’t resist a jab: ā€œSuggests revamping Stellantis may not be a full-time job.ā€ Investors clearly weren’t thrilled—stock’s down 10% since his appointment.

Meanwhile, in Austin…

Tesla launched its long-teased Robotaxi pilot. But before you imagine a sleek sci-fi cityscape, it’s a 30-mile geofenced area, with limited hours and a safety monitor in the passenger seat. Still, early rides were mostly smooth, aside from that one car veering into oncoming traffic and another stopping mid-intersection to let someone out. You know, minor stuff. Testers say it feels confident, maybe even more polished than Waymo. But for now? It’s still invite-only and riding on a beta app.

Toyota’s doing the opposite of price drops.

Starting July 1, average Toyota and Lexus prices go up $208. Not due to tariffs (they say), just "market trends." So if you're trying to sell value with a straight face next month, bring receipts—and maybe a lease special.

Cox’s latest data shows the Fed’s still stuck in neutral.

Vehicle sales dragged down May’s retail numbers, dropping 3.5%, while auto loan rates aren’t budging anytime soon. For buyers, that’s a double whammy: fewer deals, more doubt. Time to get creative in the showroom.

Japanese brands might quietly dodge the rare-earth chaos.

Thanks to a decade of prep, stockpiling, and Australia partnerships, Japan’s auto sector is less exposed to China’s mineral squeeze than the U.S. or EU. Dealers carrying imports? You might have fewer headaches when everyone else is scrambling for parts.

And finally, your customers may start talking like ChatGPT.

ā€œDelveā€ and ā€œadeptā€ are popping up in YouTube lectures, and researchers say we’re becoming more formal, less human—all thanks to AI’s language style. So if a customer asks to "further explore your vehicle offerings," just know: it’s not them. It’s the bots.

We’ve got more on these and several other stories in our Daily Digest.

F&I That Fuels Repeat Revenue

Many F&I offerings stop at the sale—great for short-term gains, but they leave your service drive cold.

CarRx helps change that. It connects you to customers after they drive off the lot, using real-time vehicle health alerts and mileage-based notifications to bring them back when it matters.

Don’t just close the deal.
Keep the relationship alive.

Because the best F&I products don’t just drive revenue once.
They drive it again and again.

AROUND THE ASOTU-VERSE

Join us TOMORROW for a 30-minute webinar that might just change how you think about AI in your store.

When Luke Morris, Parts & Service Director at Earnhardt CDJR, handed off the holiday weekend to Mia, their AI assistant, he came back to forty new test-drive appointments—and zero chaos.

In this ASOTU Edge webinar, Luke teams up with Scott Traylor, VP of Sales at Mia, to unpack exactly how they introduced AI without disrupting workflows, overwhelming staff, or sacrificing culture. From internal newsletters to after-hours heroics, this is a behind-the-scenes look at what happens when AI actually fits.

You’ll leave with real examples, practical tips, and a clearer vision of how to make AI work for your team, not against it.
