🚗 Are EVs Losing Their Luster?

🚙 Acura Dealers Support Conservancy, Electric Vehicle Values Tank, and Beyonce Breaks Another Record

July 30th

If you’ve ever helped someone older than you, newer than you, or just busier than you, then you already know: Service is patient.

It requires a shared balance between doing it for them and teaching them how to do it themselves. That balance is unique to every interaction and only gets clearer as the relationship deepens.

So, if you want to serve someone well tomorrow, it starts by getting to know them a little better today.

We’re lucky to work in a field where that kind of connection still matters.

Keep Pushing Back,

Nature Gets an EV Boost

Acura

Acura just dropped 75 of its new all-electric ZDX SUVs into the hands of The Nature Conservancy, a global nonprofit focused on conserving land and water.

That’s the biggest fleet donation in brand history, and every vehicle is headed straight to the wild—literally.

Delivered through Acura dealerships across the country, the all-electric fleet will help TNC teams reach remote conservation sites for fieldwork, community outreach, and sustainability programs.

The donation builds on a three-decade partnership between Honda and TNC. Along with the fleet, Honda contributed an additional $1M to expand charging infrastructure and support the organization’s transition to electric vehicles.

Well done, Acura. This is what it means to go the extra mile…and then some.

From the Automotive State of the Union

Used EV values are falling fast—especially Teslas.
According to iSeeCars, 5 of the top 10 biggest price drops in June were electric, led by the Model S (-15.8%), Model X (-15.5%), and Model Y (-13.6%). Demand is cooling, federal credits are phasing out, and EVs now offer about $1,200 less value than comparable gas vehicles. As Karl Brauer puts it, "You can love or hate how the market prices a vehicle—but you can’t argue with it."

Stellantis is bracing for a $1.7B tariff hit in 2025, reshaping how global OEMs view the U.S. market. With over 40% of its U.S. sales coming from Mexico and Canada, Stellantis is now navigating steep projected cost increases and growing investor skepticism under new trade rules.

Meanwhile, Ford lined up a $3B credit line, quietly bracing for more economic turbulence. It’s a classic move: liquidity now, flexibility later. The real question? Whether that financial cushion will trickle down to support dealers.

Also in today’s rundown:

  • July SAAR sticks to the 15.6M plateau—conversion, not supply, is the new challenge.

  • Waymo brings robotaxis to Dallas, with Avis managing the fleet.

  • Nissan shutters 7 global plants by 2027 as part of its Re:Nissan restructuring.

Bey Breaks Records

Beyonce / Ferrari

In just three months, Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour pulled in $407.6M, officially making it the highest-grossing country tour of all time.

Drawing in fans from all over the globe, the show delivered strong creative direction, and pulled heavily from Beyonce’s personal experience of growing up in Houston. Thirty-two cities, all sold out.

Her wardrobe was just as note-worthy, featuring epic one-of-a-kind designer fits unique to each performance. One standout look featured a Ferrari-designed leather ombré coat, along with their signature Rosso-red patent leather chaps and corset (above) that she wore for her show in Paris.

Bey wrapped up the tour in Las Vegas by tugging on our nostalgic lil’ hearts with a perfectly-timed Destiny’s Child reunion.

This tour wasn’t just a win for Beyonce’s bank account. It was a masterclass in execution. Bold concept, consistent delivery, massive results.

Long live the Queen. 🐝
