The Daily Pushback Email

  • On Monday, we dove into GM teaming up with Hyundai on EVs, China tightening its grip on tech, and Carvana setting up shop in Houston. Oh, and shoppers? Still dreaming of prices that exist only in 2010. 💭

  • Then, on Tuesday, we talked about August’s used car sales surge, Ram’s electric pickup coming in 2025, and the rising concern over auto loan delinquencies. Plus, we tackled global tariff drama, AI’s growing role in healthcare, and, of course, genetically engineered “Golden Lettuce.” 🥬

As we inching closer and closer to a new season, we were curious to know from you:

  • Wednesday, we discussed wholesale prices dipping, Stellantis taking steps to avoid plant closures, and SUVs feeling the heat globally. We also covered scammers ghosting car buyers, TikTok’s ticking legal clock, and reminded you that National Cheeseburger Day had lunch covered. 🍔

Because Spring and Autumn were so close in Tuesday’s poll, we narrowed it down just to confirm the ultimate best season…🍁🍂🎃🍎☕🔥🌽🍁

  • On Thursday, we covered Ford, BMW, and Honda’s ChargeScape launch, Stellantis fighting to keep EVs competitive, and BYD shaking things up with their bargain-priced Seagull EV. Plus, we talk about what it means that the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting resulted in a hefty cut. ✂️

  • Before we knew it, it was Friday. We covered Ford’s CEO sounding the alarm on Chinese EVs, Kia's EV5 taking over China, and labor tensions heating up with UAW strike deadlines. We also discussed the market flux post-rate cut in this week’s weekly market watch. 👀

Food Beast

The Columbia Inn in Montville, NJ, has come up with a clever way of leveraging the hype and the utility of the Tesla Cybertruck in order to boost their brand visibility and pizza sales.

Co-owner Fabio Antonio Arbelaez, a long-time Tesla fan, has outfitted two of the all-electric trucks with conveyor-style ovens to whip up their signature thin-crust pies in just two minutes.

Plugged into 240-volt outlets in the truck beds, these rides can serve up 25 pizzas an hour without the need for gas or propane.

At an average $15 a pie, it’ll take them about 7,000 pizzas to pay off these beasts. But, you know what they say — you gotta spend dough to make dough.

…we’ll see ourselves out.
