Y’all Are Trivia Pros!
Lee Cavender, Investor Day, and Send Us Your Weird Auto Facts
One thing we know for sure, if you don’t tell anyone how cool your business is, no one will know.
Now, that may seem simple, but it is actually somewhat complex. Creating content takes work and dedication. So, what do we recommend?
Start small. Do 1 thing this week that tells your story better. Invite people into your story as a brand. Then repeat that next week too. Just...don’t be generic.

INDUSTRY HIGHLIGHT
Lee Cavender: Balance, Community, and Turning Jobs Into Careers
We have a special Industry Highlight this week! ASOTU's Director of Partner Relationships Ann-Marie went to speak with Lee Cavender of the Cavender Auto Group in San Antonio, TX.
Lee Cavender is the Chief People Officer of the group, now in its fourth generation. He shared the company's commitment to work-life balance and how he has seen the business focus more on it in his 11 years with the team.
In October 2021, they created Cavender Cares and brought on a corporate engagement specialist to bring more organization to the group's well-established community partnership. Lee shared that the group's goal is not only to care for its 683 employees but also their families and the city they call home. Toy drives, food drives, backpacks for kids, military events, and events based around pets are just part of the group's dedication to their community.
When we asked for some advice for the industry, Mr. Cavendar reminded us of the importance of "human capital.” Finding out why people are leaving and plugging those holes is critical to helping new industry members view this as a rewarding career.

Thank you for participating in the first-ever session of ASOTU Automotive Trivia!
Last week we tested your automotive knowledge with a question regarding Volkswagen’s production. Replies were evenly split between the correct answer, and the other 3 options. Nearly 50% of you answered correctly with “Sausages.”
VW started producing sausages in 1973s for it’s workers, but now only about 40% is used in the brand’s six factory restaurants. The rest are sold in grocery stores and football stadiums.
World’s Longest Car
GM Authority
The world's longest car, The American Dream, seats around 75 people and has a putting green, a pool, and a helipad. Based on a 1976 Cadillac Eldorado, it has 26 wheels, two engines, and can be driven from both ends. Makes sense, right? Can you imagine trying to try to turn that sucker around??
Hit reply and send us your weirdest automotive fact. We will share our favorites in next week’s recharge!
