Paint + Dogs = Loving People More

Today, we want to share a story from Michael Wood that really hits home about the impact of loving people more than cars has on our community.

Michael’s been on a mission with his team to make clients feel genuinely appreciated—like they really matter. One of the ways they’re doing this is by doing a bit of social media sleuthing to understand their clients better so they can make interactions smoother and more personal. It’s all about cutting down the effort customers need to put in and making them feel valued.

Michael recently turned 41, and his team gave him a surprise that brought this idea to life. Knowing how much he adores his mini dachshunds, one of his sales managers secretly reached out to his wife, got a favorite photo of his dogs, and had a relative paint it. When Michael walked into work and saw the painting, he was blown away—it brought him to tears. This wasn’t just a gift; it was a reminder that he was seen and appreciated as more than just a manager.

This is what it’s all about—taking a little time to know people beyond the business side of things. When we do, we’re not just selling cars or services; we’re building relationships that last. It’s about seeing humans and turning customers into lifelong friends.

So, what little things are you doing to make your clients feel special? We’d love to hear your stories! (Or send pictures of your dog since this post happened on National Dog Day)
