The new-vehicle market is stabilizing with 2.84M units available, following a disruption from a cyber breach. Dealers can take advantage of increased sales incentives, which now average 7.2% off the average transaction price of $47,870.
Rivian has launched its Gen 2 R1T and R1S electric trucks, featuring a tri-motor setup and a competitive starting price of $99,900. This move enhances the EV segment, which continues to grow, albeit slowly.
Additionally, the U.S. Energy Department is investing $3B in twenty-five battery manufacturing projects, aimed at reducing reliance on foreign production and creating about 12,000 jobs. This initiative is vital for dealers looking to stay competitive as the shift toward electric and sustainable vehicles accelerates.
