The Power of Perseverance and Originality

After three years of hard work and anticipation, Matthews Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Great Bend, Pennsylvania, is finally ready for its debut.

Despite facing numerous pandemic challenges and inventory shortages, the dealership has persevered. Their 25K square-foot facility underwent extensive renovations, bringing over 33 new jobs to the rural town.

The Matthews family’s first dealership was a Chrysler Plymouth store that opened in 1973. They have a special attachment to this new location and are excited about its prospects.

Especially considering one of the facility’s most unique features—an obstacle course for Jeeps, which allows customers to test the vehicles' off-road capabilities before purchasing. It’s only one of two in the whole state.

Telling it like it is - We’re not gonna lie, we’re pretty jealous of all the Pennsylvanians who get to test-drive on that obstacle course. ASOTU team field trip??

• The government's setting up off-grid charging stations at 140 offices.

• Over half of the power coming out of our grid is good old green energy.

France is roaring in the EV race with a battery-making giga-factory, courtesy of the Automotive Cells Company. Gigafactories are going global, baby!

• France's betting big with a €2B investment in their giga-factory.

• This power factory will generate enough juice for 500K EVs annually and churn out 2,000 jobs by 2030.

• Taiwan's ProLogium and China's Envision AESC are not just spectators, they're planning their own giga-factories.

Despite some potholes, Hyundai's tax credit loopholes make sure the electric joyride never ends (they hope)!

• Crafty use of the Inflation Reduction Act is fueling their EV leasing growth.

• They've got their eyes on the future, with 17 electric models slated for a 2030 debut.

• Savannah, Georgia will soon be home to Hyundai's new battery cell plant.

Elon Musk's week had some speed bumps and green lights. The US authorities hit pause while China gave Tesla a nod of approval.

• Tesla can breathe easy after agreeing to stop in-car gaming, prompting a halt in US authorities' investigation.

• China's rolling out the red carpet, promising a favorable business environment for Musk's electric giant.

With TiVo hopping in the passenger seat, BMW's going big on in-car entertainment. So, prepare for a fancy dancy entertainment experience in your new fancy dancy BMW 5 Series.

• BMW and TiVo are teaming up to make in-car entertainment a game-changer.

• This star-studded upgrade is set for the BMW 5 series by the end of 2023.

• The new all-electric 5 Series sedans will be among the first to enjoy this TiVo treat.

Fiber < Laser. No more buffering blues, folks! The big brains at NASA and MIT have blown previous records out of the water, achieving warp-speed internet, thanks to their TeraByte InfraRed Delivery (TBIRD) system! Imagine downloading 1,000 high-def movies in less time than it takes to brew a pot of coffee. At over 200 Gbps, the laser link sets a new record and helps us imagine a future with lasers we can trust. Eventually, YouTube videos may load as fast as YouTube ads.

On the one hand, "Space Laser Internet" is the sort of thing that a James Bond villain dreams about, but on the other, this internet may be fast enough to finally let us send holograms to the office in our place.

Disco is dead. A plastic-eating enzyme could be the answer to tons and tons of landfill and ocean-dwelling waste. The first item on the menu is polyester clothing! Scientists say even heavily dyed fabrics could be digested without the energy-wasting methods of some current recycling efforts. Just don't get any on your morning jog.

On the one hand, we need to do something about all this plastic. Still, on the other, so many things are made from plastic and untamed enzymes may undo our society.

Generation VS Creation? A sci-fi author is living up to his genre with a wild 97 published mini-novels in 9 months. He says the "AI Lore Books" series is a testament to the potential of AI for augmenting human creativity. He mostly combined chatbots like ChatGPT with the image generator Midjourney to create his illustrated 5000-ish-word novels. So far, he has made $2,000 and sold over 500 copies of the interconnected stories.

On the one hand, art is discretion: releasing only what appeals to the artist in a way they believe will translate. On the other hand, if 20 people do this, nobody will be able to find E-books worth reading on Amazon.
